Software Development Internship (m/w/d)

About the role

You will join Tesat‑Spacecom’s software engineering team as an intern, gaining hands‑on experience in real‑time software development for the space industry. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to both frontend and backend projects while learning industry‑standard tools and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop practical real‑time software within modern repository systems.
• Choose and work on tasks such as frontend, backend, continuous integration, testing, and automation.
• Write Python scripts for test automation and ensure software quality.
• Advance the development environment and validate performance metrics.
• Document results, evaluate outcomes, and provide future outlooks.

Required profile

• Enrolled student in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of software development concepts.
• Fundamental understanding of C, Java, and Python.
• Very good German and good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Motivation to work independently within a collaborative team.
