Software Engineer – Backend (Python)

About the role

NVISO Labs is looking for a Software Engineer to design and develop scalable back‑end solutions that power innovative cyber‑security services. You will work with a talented team, leveraging Azure cloud technologies and modern software practices to deliver secure, high‑performance services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable back‑end software and services, primarily using Python.
• Utilise Azure cloud services (Functions, App Services, Storage, Identity) to build reliable solutions.
• Design APIs and integrate back‑end components with internal and customer‑facing platforms.
• Apply sound software‑engineering practices to ensure maintainable, secure, production‑ready code.
• Troubleshoot performance, reliability and scalability issues across cloud workloads.
• Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve efficiency, resilience and observability of back‑end systems.

Required profile

• Citizenship of a NATO member state.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software‑engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• High proficiency in professional Python and/or C# development.
• Strong focus on reusability, maintainability, security and testing best practices.
• Deep understanding of operating systems, networking and infrastructure.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and present work effectively.
