Software Engineer – Cloud, Web Applications & AI

About the role

Scelion is building an AI‑driven platform that automates public procurement. We are looking for a self‑motivated Software Engineer to join our Munich office and work on core product and infrastructure challenges across web, cloud, data and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance web‑application features for the procurement platform.
• Design and implement backend logic, APIs and data‑workflow pipelines.
• Work with databases, structured data and business‑logic layers.
• Support cloud infrastructure, deployment processes and AWS services.
• Improve reliability, performance and security of the system.
• Handle DevOps tasks such as CI/CD, environment management, monitoring and automation.
• Debug issues across the full stack and infrastructure.
• Integrate external APIs and services.
• Build AI‑powered search, matching, classification and automation capabilities.
• Transform raw tender data into structured, usable product experiences.
• Contribute to product, architecture and technical decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong computer‑science fundamentals.
• High intellectual curiosity and rapid learning ability.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and take ownership of problems.
• Solid programming ability in at least one modern programming language.
• Understanding of web‑application development.
