Software Engineer - Dynamic Tables

About the role

We’re hiring talented Software Engineers for the Snowflake Dynamic Tables team in Berlin. Join us to build the next‑generation data platform that lets customers transform data with declarative SQL while controlling cost, latency, and throughput.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build Dynamic Tables capabilities together with engineers and product managers.
• Implement, support, and evolve new features and performance improvements.
• Shape technical and product direction alongside senior teammates.
• Break down ambiguous problems, weigh trade‑offs, and make technical decisions.
• Analyze and solve performance, correctness, and fault‑tolerance challenges at scale.
• Investigate unfamiliar parts of the system to root‑cause and resolve issues.
• Ensure operational readiness, reliability, availability, and performance of shipped code.
• Understand customer usage of Dynamic Tables to guide development.

Required profile

• 2+ years of industry experience designing and building database internals or data‑intensive systems, or equivalent research experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and solid CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to take a problem from concept to production‑ready software.
• Proficiency with AI‑native software engineering and agentic development workflows.
• Preference for collaborative teamwork with opportunities to mentor and learn.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong English communication skills.
