Software Engineer

About the role

Moody's is looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable back‑end systems that power high‑performance insurance analytics applications. The role focuses on creating reliable, extensible services while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to turn business requirements into technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust back‑end services for insurance analytics platforms.
• Design architecture with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Participate in technical design discussions and provide expertise across the back‑end stack.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Create and maintain unit and end‑to‑end tests to guarantee system quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of industry experience, or equivalent advanced degree with fewer years.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, translate abstract requirements into concrete technical objectives, and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
