Solutions Architect – Broadcast & Media Infrastructure

About the role

Riedel Communications is the leading provider of live production tools for media, sports and entertainment, organised into three business units. As Solutions Architect for Broadcast & Media Infrastructure, you will design and implement state-of-the-art broadcast IT infrastructure supporting Riedel's solutions, combining cloud, IP-based systems and media workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect broadcast and media solutions integrating cloud-based, IP-based and on-premises technologies
• Translate customer requirements into technical solution designs, system architectures and media workflows for live production and broadcast
• Act as technical advisor on broadcast IT infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms and media technologies
• Develop proofs of concept, demonstrations and solution presentations for customers and internal stakeholders
• Provide hands-on support during deployment, integration, testing, troubleshooting and early product adoption
• Collaborate with Product Management, Development, Sales and Customer Success
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as architectures, workflows and specifications

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications Engineering or a related field; comparable qualifications and experience welcome
• 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles, solution architecture, systems engineering or technical consulting in broadcast, media technology or IT infrastructure
• Strong expertise in broadcast systems and modern broadcast IT infrastructures, including live production environments
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and to travel on average 3 days per month
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences

Required skills

• Cloud-based, IP-based and on-premises solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP
• Enterprise networking, routing, firewall concepts, security and distributed systems
• Windows and Linux in complex production environments
• Broadcast standards such as SMPTE ST 2110, NMOS, PTP, Dante, SRT, EBU recommendations and AMWA specifications are a strong advantage
