Strategic Buyer – Europe

About the role

We are looking for a Strategic Buyer to lead and optimise both direct and indirect procurement for our European operations. Based in Frankfurt’s Messeturm, you will work closely with production, quality, logistics and other functions to ensure a seamless supply chain and drive cost‑saving initiatives across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement procurement strategies that reduce global costs and improve processes.
• Analyse market trends, supplier performance and identify savings opportunities.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with international suppliers; lead contract negotiations and secure favourable terms.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, logistics and other internal teams to guarantee uninterrupted supply.
• Identify supply‑chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Represent the company at international trade fairs and industry events to expand the supplier network.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, supply‑chain management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of purchasing or strategic sourcing experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, preferably food & beverage.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and knowledge of contract law.
• Excellent English communication; German or other European languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally to Asia.
