Structure Design Engineer – Berlin

About the role

Join Reflex Aerospace in Berlin as a Structure Design Engineer and help shape the next generation of high‑performance satellites. You will work within a multinational team that has contributed to over 100 successful space missions.

Key responsibilities

• Design structural components and assemblies for satellite platforms and subsystems.
• Create detailed 3D models and production‑ready drawings using CAD (preferably Siemens NX).
• Develop and maintain design documentation, specifications, and analysis reports.
• Support mechanical and structural testing, verification, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with thermal, systems, electrical, and integration engineers to ensure system‑level functionality.
• Interface with suppliers and customers to guarantee manufacturability and compliance.
• Apply GD&T and Design for Manufacturing principles for cost‑effective production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on structural design experience, preferably in the space industry.
• Strong technical documentation skills and fluency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Siemens NX CAD software.
• Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with CNC machining, turning and related manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with structural analysis tools such as NASTRAN, Optistruct, Simsolid, Inspire or similar.
