System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a System Administrator to be the primary onsite point of contact for IT, supporting internal stakeholders and managing the Microsoft 365 environment and server infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd‑level support, manage escalations end‑to‑end and act as the main onsite IT contact.
• Administer and continuously improve Microsoft 365 services (Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Maintain server and virtualization platforms (Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper‑V) and core networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP).
• Lead IT projects from scoping to rollout, including security, automation and tooling initiatives.
• Coordinate external service providers and keep system documentation up to date.
• Identify and implement automation and AI‑supported solutions to increase efficiency.
• Gradually take on onsite leadership tasks such as mentoring, coordination and onboarding support.

Required profile

• Completed IT training or comparable qualification with a solid technical foundation.
• 5+ years of experience in IT system administration or a senior IT role.
• Proactive, structured work style and ability to work autonomously.
• Resilient and clear communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate in German.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Berlin at least two days per week.
