Systemingenieur für Laser Communication Terminals

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer to lead the development and evolution of laser communication terminal systems. You will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to define requirements, verify designs and support the sales process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new and improve existing laser communication terminal systems.
• Define and specify system requirements, test plans and evaluate subsystem performance.
• Negotiate specifications, interfaces, documentation and verification approaches with customers and suppliers.
• Provide technical guidance and select suppliers for components and sub‑systems.
• Support the sales team in acquiring new projects and proposals.

Required profile

• Degree in aerospace engineering, physics, electrical engineering, telecommunications or a related field.
• Several years of experience in system engineering, requirements management and leading development projects.
• Strong knowledge of current laser‑communication products and interdisciplinary expertise in electronics, optics and mechanics.
• High resilience, flexibility, strong communication and analytical thinking.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
