Systems Engineer for Flight Controls (High Lift Systems) (d/f/m)

About the role

Airbus Operations is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Flight Controls engineering department, focusing on High Lift Systems across the Airbus product line. You will work in an international, high‑tech environment developing safety‑critical architectures using modern development methods and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate the High Lift System and its sub‑system control architecture.
• Apply automated controls technology, including assessment of filtering, estimation and stability needs.
• Define and monitor checks and balances throughout the development cycle to ensure product maturity.
• Identify lifecycle activities for design, maintenance and support of the product.
• Define work package contents and associated activities.

Required profile

• University degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in electrical engineering, IT, systems engineering or related field.
• Broad knowledge in at least two disciplines such as communication/controls technology, sensing and data generation, software development or systems engineering.
• Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and/or software development processes.
• Advanced English and German language skills; French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel worldwide up to once a month.
