Systems Engineer – RF Threat Environment Simulation

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a motivated Systems Engineer to join its Ground Support Systems team in Manching, Germany. You will work on the development and validation of RF Threat Environment Simulation tools that support electronic warfare, defensive aids, and mission data preparation for platforms such as the A400M, Eurofighter, and Tornado.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, design, test, qualify, and improve subsystems throughout the implementation phase.
• Produce technical documentation including specifications, functional descriptions, and test analyses.
• Define requirements, interfaces, and system designs to translate customer needs into hardware and software specifications for the RF Threat Simulator.
• Support laboratory testing, operate test equipment, and evaluate functional and RF performance against defined requirements.
• Participate in integration, verification, and validation activities.

Required profile

• Highly motivated engineer with a strong interest in electronic warfare and ground‑support systems.
• Ability to work in an agile, interdisciplinary team serving international clients.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
