Tax Manager – VAT & Corporate Tax Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a pragmatic, business‑oriented Tax Manager to take ownership of all tax matters across our fast‑growing consumer‑goods company. In this role you will translate complex tax requirements into clear guidance, ensuring compliance while supporting rapid expansion into new markets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day tax compliance for the group, including VAT, corporate income tax and trade tax, in close partnership with Accounting and Legal.
• Lead VAT and indirect‑tax processes: registrations, periodic returns, reconciliations and continuous improvement of data quality.
• Coordinate filing deadlines with internal stakeholders and external advisors to guarantee accurate, on‑time submissions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, preparing tax provisions and audit‑ready documentation.
• Act as a proactive business partner, assessing tax implications of new initiatives, contracts, promotions and market entries.
• Develop scalable tax processes, documentation standards, templates and tools to enable self‑service where appropriate.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into practical guidance, training and process updates.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, structured problem‑solver with a strong ownership mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
• Degree in tax, finance, law or a comparable qualification; Steuerberater qualification is a strong plus.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a high‑growth environment.
