Tax Specialist – Investment Tax & Outsourcing (5‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are supporting a leading international financial services organisation with a critical initiative in their German tax function. This 5‑month contract position focuses on investment tax and the outsourcing of tax‑related activities, offering a high‑impact opportunity for a senior tax professional.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of outsourced investment tax processes, ensuring governance, control and compliance.
• Manage and oversee outsourced investment tax activities and vendor relationships.
• Review and validate service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Establish and enhance control frameworks and define KPIs for outsourced services.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and support project coordination within a broader transformation programme.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and testing of outsourced processes.
• Review tax documentation and support oversight of tax declarations.

Required profile

• Qualified German Tax Advisor (Steuerberater) – strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of tax experience, ideally in financial services or advisory.
• Strong expertise in German investment tax law (Investmentsteuergesetz).
• Fluent in German and English.
