Team Leader Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a freelance, hands‑on accounting professional to join our client’s central finance team on a 6‑month interim basis. The position is focused on executing accounting tasks rather than managing people, working with a small team of 1‑2 colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate ongoing accounting processes through to the annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS.
• Prepare group reporting for entities in Germany and abroad, ensuring compliance with both local and international standards.
• Conduct commercial analyses and contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Required profile

• Completed degree in business administration with a focus on accounting, auditing, or controlling.
• Several years of hands‑on experience in accounting or controlling.
• Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards.
• Very good command of English.
• Independent, process‑oriented, and efficient work style with the ability to take ownership quickly.

Required skills

• Confident use of SAP (preferably S/4HANA).
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
