Technical Trainer for Wind Service Technicians

About the role

GE Vernova's Wind Learning Center in Salzbergen is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver technical and safety training for wind service technicians. You will work on‑site daily, preparing trainees to operate and maintain GE Vernova onshore wind turbines safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑developed theoretical and practical training covering the 1.X, 2.X, 3.X and Cypress turbine platforms.
• Facilitate classroom sessions and hands‑on exercises, adapting communication for entry‑level and experienced audiences.
• Guide participants through VR‑based training modules, providing context and support.
• Ensure all practical sessions comply with GE Vernova safety standards and that participants use required PPE.
• Adjust training pace based on group experience, provide technical explanations, and support troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Document attendance, outcomes and participant progress accurately.
• Collaborate with the training team and Lab Technician to maintain a ready training environment.
• Occasionally travel to wind farms or international sites to deliver field training.

Required profile

• Qualified Elektrofachkraft – certified electrician or electrical engineer.
• Proven hands‑on experience with GE Vernova onshore wind turbines (1.X, 2.X, 3.X, Cypress).
• Strong English communication skills; German is a strong advantage.
• Formal training, teaching or coaching experience or qualification.
• Familiarity with VR‑based or digital training tools.
• GWO or equivalent wind industry certification.
