Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurial Management

About the role

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) seeks a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurial Management to join the School of Management’s Entrepreneurship Research Institute. The position starts as soon as possible and is a six‑year fixed‑term W2 professorship with the prospect of promotion to a tenured W3.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality research in entrepreneurial management, including start‑up, growth, and corporate entrepreneurship.
• Teach undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral courses, especially in Management & Technology programmes.
• Secure third‑party research funding and manage research projects.
• Mentor and support early‑career scientists and doctoral candidates.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary programmes across TUM schools.

Required profile

• Outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification.
• Demonstrated initial scientific achievements and capacity for independent, internationally recognised research.
• Significant research experience abroad.
• Pedagogical aptitude and experience teaching at university level.
