Test Development Engineer (Fixed‑term)

About the role

As a Test Development Engineer you will ensure the quality, safety and reliability of Philips’ patient‑monitoring devices. Working at the intersection of hardware, software and manufacturing, you will design automated test solutions for a global production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automated production tests for the patient‑monitoring portfolio in close collaboration with R&D.
• Design and implement test hardware, fixtures, instrumentation and test software.
• Create test concepts from component and PCB level up to complete manufacturing test systems.
• Analyse measurement data to continuously optimise test coverage, reliability and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Technical Informatics or a related discipline.
• Experience in electronics development, hardware testing, measurement technology or test‑system development.
• Hands‑on attitude with measurement equipment and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
• Fluent communication in English and German.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of analog and digital electronics, signal conditioning, sensor interfaces and high‑speed signals.
• Programming experience with Python, Go, LabVIEW, TestStand or similar environments.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as GPT, Claude or GitHub Copilot.
• Proficiency with measurement equipment and test‑automation tools.
