About the role

Join Amex GBT's Defense & Government team in Kaiserslautern as a Travel Consultant, supporting moderately complex travel arrangements for U.S. military and government clients. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring each itinerary meets client standards and delivers a seamless traveler experience.

Key responsibilities

• Create and complete travel arrangements (car, hotel, air, rail) for moderately complex accounts.
• Ensure reservations follow client preferences and standards.
• Provide informed recommendations to enhance the traveler experience.
• Resolve moderately complex issues, including multi‑destination itineraries, ticket exchanges, and complex fares.
• Handle both routine and non‑routine tasks, and support department projects such as clean‑up, startup, or closeout activities.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in the travel industry or a strong customer‑service background.
• Experience in travel support roles is preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English; a second language is a plus.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good overall travel‑industry knowledge.

Required skills

• Sabre (GDS) proficiency.
• Microsoft Office suite.
