VIE - Financial Controller

About the role

This VIE position offers a hands‑on opportunity to support the Finance department of an international organization based in Germany. You will work closely with accounting, actuarial and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and contribute to strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monthly and yearly closing activities in collaboration with Accounting, Actuarial and Operations teams.
• Prepare monthly Management Reporting (production, premium, P&L per product) and analyse key performance indicators.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts and financial landing processes.
• Contribute to new product launches, including business plan preparation and cash‑flow modelling.
• Participate in finance‑related projects such as accounting automation and KPI optimisation.
• Produce ad‑hoc analyses and presentations for senior management and business partners.
• Prepare monthly partner invoices and handle routine accounting tasks (supplier invoices, bank reconciliations, cash‑flow monitoring).

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with a careful, organised working style.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; team‑oriented.
• Motivation to learn and develop in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
