Warehouse Team Leader

About the role

The Warehouse Team Leader will oversee daily warehouse operations at our Sülzetal facility, ensuring efficient receiving, dispatching, sorting, and inventory management. You will coordinate a team of warehouse staff, maintain safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in processes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and assign daily tasks to team members, creating weekly work plans.
• Monitor and manage warehouse workflows, including receiving, shipping, sorting, and stock control.
• Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory, detect discrepancies, and generate reports.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, safety briefings, and performance guidance to new and existing staff.
• Handle emergencies such as damaged goods, incorrect deliveries, or equipment failures and coordinate with logistics partners.
• Control consumable and labor costs while optimizing work processes.

Required profile

• Age 22‑48, in good health, able to work shifts.
• Valid German residence permit, no criminal record.
• College degree in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Supply Chain (technical secondary school acceptable with >1 year team‑lead experience).
• Fluent German communication skills; basic English is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years experience in German warehouse operations and at least 1 year in team management.

Required skills

• Forklift operation certificate.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Inventory management and reporting.
