Working Student – IT (On‑site Support)

About the role

As a Working Student in IT at our Martinsried location, you will contribute to reliable day‑to‑day IT operations and provide on‑site support for employees. This part‑time role offers hands‑on experience with hardware preparation, inventory management, and technical assistance in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and organise the IT hardware inventory, including laptops, monitors and peripherals.
• Assist with hardware setup, configuration and basic troubleshooting.
• Provide on‑site technical guidance and resolve minor issues for staff.
• Implement structured cable management at desks, meeting rooms and storage areas.
• Prepare, label and document new IT equipment before deployment.
• Support the IT team in processing hardware requests and ticket follow‑up.
• Keep the IT storage and equipment rooms orderly and well‑documented.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
• Interest in practical, hardware‑focused IT tasks and on‑site support.
• Reliable, organised and proactive work approach.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage time effectively.
• Availability to work on‑site 10–20 hours per week.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of PC hardware.
• Familiarity with peripherals and common IT infrastructure.
