Working Student – Public Affairs (Germany)

About the role

Airbus Operations is looking for a motivated working student to support its Public Affairs team in Germany. You will work approximately 18 hours per week, combining your studies with hands‑on experience in policy planning and political engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and provide company statements on national policy in collaboration with Public Affairs colleagues and internal experts.
• Develop and sustain a high‑quality network within the German political sphere.
• Organise and prepare meetings between Airbus representatives and German administration, parliament and other public institutions.
• Establish a system for political risk analysis, monitoring and forecasting of Germany’s political environment.
• Assist in drafting speeches, letters, position papers and strategy documents.
• Support the creation of new dialogue formats to advance the communication strategy.

Required profile

• Enrolled full‑time university student (any discipline) in Germany.
• Strong interest in public affairs, policy planning or government relations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within a 18‑hour weekly schedule.
