Working Student – Software Engineering (TypeScript/NestJS or React)

About the role

Join OneTutor, an AI‑powered tutoring platform spun off from the Technical University of Munich, as a working student in software engineering. You will work side‑by‑side with the founders in a small, close‑knit team, delivering features that reach tens of thousands of learners while keeping a flexible schedule around your studies.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of small, well‑scoped backend or frontend projects.
• Build and extend APIs using NestJS and TypeScript (REST or GraphQL).
• Develop React components, integrate them with backend services, and improve the learner and instructor experience.
• Collaborate with product and engineering peers on design, testing, and feature development.
• Participate in code reviews and occasional pair‑programming sessions.

Required profile

• Master’s (or advanced Bachelor’s) student in Computer Science, Informatics or a related field at a Munich university.
• Hands‑on experience with either NestJS + TypeScript or React + TypeScript.
• Good communication in English or German and a collaborative mindset.
• Motivation to apply academic knowledge in a real product environment.
