Working Student – Software Engineering (Wind Tunnel)

About the role

Join Airbus Operations in Bremen as a working student supporting the Wind Tunnel Test team. You will gain hands‑on experience in software engineering while contributing to the development and maintenance of the wind‑tunnel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement new features for the Wind Tunnel software platform.
• Write unit tests, assist in bug fixing and ensure high code quality.
• Participate in regular team meetings, task planning and collaborative discussions.
• Work independently on assigned tasks and sub‑projects after onboarding.
• Document and optimise existing codebases to improve performance and maintainability.

Required profile

• Enrolled full‑time student (d/f/m) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (minimum 3rd semester).
• Available to work approximately 18 hours per week for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
• Strong interest in aerospace software applications and wind‑tunnel testing.

Required skills

• Software development and coding.
• Unit testing and debugging.
• Code documentation and optimisation.
