Account Manager – Germany (DACH Region)

About the role

The Account Manager will act as the sales representative for assigned accounts across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You will be responsible for growing sales, improving profitability and building strong relationships with key buying teams in the consumer products sector.

Key responsibilities

• Increase sales and account profitability within your scope of influence.
• Develop, build and enhance relationships with major account buying teams.
• Plan and execute sales calls, providing timely information to internal departments.
• Create, present and implement promotional and marketing plans with accounts.
• Prepare annual sales budgets and monthly business review meetings focused on financial performance.
• Monitor key account business plans, analyse profitability, pricing and consumer trends.
• Attend trade shows and retail‑sponsored events as needed.
• Serve as the primary internal contact for product development, marketing, customer service and finance.
• Submit call reports within 48 hours and maintain regular meetings with accounts, travelling as required.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of professional sales experience in the consumer products industry.
• High school diploma required; business degree preferred.
• Native German speaker with fluent written and spoken English.
• Valid driving licence and ability to travel regularly.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, home‑office environment, organise workload and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite (MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities for margin, discount and pricing calculations.
