About the role

Appinio is looking for an ambitious, tech‑savvy Accountant to become the technical architect of its accounting function. You will ensure the highest quality of financial data while building a scalable, automated ecosystem that supports rapid global growth.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise the financial ledgers of the Appinio Group, guaranteeing 100 % accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead Accounting to deliver fast, clean month‑end and year‑end closes (HGB) for the German entity and its subsidiaries.
• Prepare documentation and schedules for annual audits, acting as the internal expert for auditors.
• Drive implementation and optimisation of the accounting tool‑stack (Light, DATEV, Lucanet) to create a digital, scalable function.
• Review accounting topics as a technical gatekeeper, ensuring data robustness and reducing manual work.
• Support technical consolidation and international alignment of subsidiaries in Spain, the UK, the US and Colombia.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for automation and data quality.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment.
• Fluency in German accounting standards (HGB) and English communication.
