Accountant – Expense Reimbursement & Cash Budget Specialist

About the role

The company is looking for a diligent Accountant to manage expense reimbursements, accounts payable, cash budgeting and document archiving for its Munich office and plant operations. The role combines day‑to‑day transactional work with periodic financial reporting and budget control.

Key responsibilities

• Review expense reimbursement processes and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Match purchase invoices for the Munich office and plant, post them in SAP, manage supplier accruals and perform aging analysis of accounts payable.
• Track equipment and expense pre‑payments, conduct aging analysis and issue timely alerts on collection risks and long‑term pre‑payment exposures.
• Collect, consolidate and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual cash budgets; monitor budget execution, analyse variances and enforce payment controls for expenditures exceeding the budget.
• Organise, bind, number and archive process documents, accounting vouchers and original supporting records to ensure complete documentation for audit purposes.
• Participate in the preparation of monthly financial reports and PBC schedules, handling data input and analysis related to cash budgets and related items.

Required profile

• Proven experience in expense reimbursement review and accounts payable processing.
• Familiarity with SAP for invoice posting, accruals and aging analysis.
• Strong understanding of cash budgeting, budget monitoring and variance analysis.
• Attention to detail in document management and archiving for audit readiness.
