Accountant – Finance Team (Hamburg)

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to join a fast‑growing medical technology company’s Finance team in the Hamburg region. You will support critical financial operations in a collaborative, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Support and improve expense‑management processes and controls.
• Create, issue, and post customer invoices.
• Manage accounts receivable, monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Act as the primary contact for employees on expense‑related questions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support day‑to‑day finance operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Accounting, Finance, Accounts Receivable, or a similar finance function.
• Strong understanding of invoicing, receivables management, reconciliations and overall financial processes.
• Experience managing employee expenses is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.
• Fluent German and English preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
