Accountant – Frankfurt (German & Swiss Entities)

About the role

Stonebranch is looking for an Accountant based in Frankfurt to manage the day‑to‑day accounting operations of its German and Swiss legal entities. Working closely with the Manager, Accounting & Finance and the global finance team, you will handle the full spectrum of transactional accounting in an English‑speaking, international environment while adhering to German GAAP (HGB).

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices end‑to‑end – verification, coding, posting and routing for approval.
• Execute weekly payment runs for all assigned entities.
• Handle sales orders, issue customer invoices and manage accounts receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliations, VAT compliance and month‑end close activities.
• Support ERP transformation projects and other finance initiatives across multiple entities.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of practical accounting experience.
• University degree in accounting or a completed vocational qualification (Ausbildung).
• Fluent German and professional proficiency in English.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work on several entities in parallel.

Required skills

• Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB).
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounting and VAT compliance.
