Accountant Manager – Finance Team (Munich)

About the role

As an Accountant Manager you will join tado°'s Finance Team in Munich and take ownership of a broad range of accounting processes for the tado GmbH entity. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and post incoming invoices and travel expenses via Moss, adhering to company guidelines.
• Process import and export invoices and perform account reconciliations.
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs.
• Record payroll entries for multiple payroll areas.
• Maintain asset accounting records.
• Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including provisions.
• Prepare VAT and statistical reports (UK, France, Italy, OSS, ESL) in coordination with tax advisors.
• Assist with tax audits and contribute to finance‑related projects such as tool introductions and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Completed commercial education or comparable qualification; preferably a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter).
• Minimum of 4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Fluent German (written and spoken) and confident English communication skills.
• Structured, precise work style with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel usage.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Experience with NetSuite (Oracle) or similar ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Moss expense‑management tool.
