Accountant – Trade Invoicing Services (Hybrid, Germany)

About the role

Join BASF's Global Business Services as an Accountant in the Trade Invoicing team. You will ensure high‑quality invoicing services and act as a key liaison between IT, supply chain and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for trade invoicing activities within the Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) process.
• Perform end‑to‑end monitoring, exception handling and technical SAP analysis to guarantee invoicing efficiency, effectiveness and compliance.
• Test system concepts, correct errors and support the development of invoicing processes in line with legal requirements.
• Maintain process updates and contribute to regional and global projects from a trade invoicing perspective.
• Provide sales and KPI reporting to business units and other departments to ensure data transparency.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training or degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting or a comparable qualification.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in Accounts Receivable, Invoicing or Supply Chain.
• Strong communication skills in English and/or German; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in intercultural teams.

Required skills

• SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA (especially SD module).
• eInvoicing project experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook and OneNote.
