Accounting & Finance Specialist – Berlin

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting & Finance Specialist to join our Berlin team. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day bookkeeping, supporting month‑end closes and ensuring reliable financial processes as we continue to grow.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable independently.
• Prepare and contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual financial closes.
• Monitor outstanding items and run dunning processes.
• Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies and support liquidity planning.
• Collaborate with tax advisors and external auditors.
• Help develop and digitise accounting processes.

Required profile

• Completed commercial training or a degree focused on finance/accounting.
• Several years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in accounts receivable/payable.
• Experience preparing closes under German GAAP (HGB).
• Strong attention to detail and a structured, reliable way of working.
• Fluent German and good English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficient use of accounting software such as DATEV or Odoo.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB).
