Accounting Professional (German GAAP)

About the role

Trendyol Finance is seeking an Accounting Professional to own and manage its German financial operations. You will work closely with the Headquarters Accounting Team to ensure accurate financial data, statutory compliance, and seamless execution of the full accounting cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for local German GAAP (HGB) accounting entries in coordination with the HQ team.
• Lead and participate in integration and improvement projects with International Accounting, Projects, and SAP teams.
• Coordinate the financial statement closing process and ensure timely statutory reporting.
• Perform detailed reviews of financial statements, schedules, and workings to maintain high data quality.
• Manage statutory compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements in Germany.
• Co‑operate with the Tax team on local tax matters and transfer pricing.
• Conduct periodic reconciliations and handle ad‑hoc financial requests.
• Support local audit requirements as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Extensive accounting experience, preferably with audit exposure in an e‑commerce environment.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB); IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
