Accounts Payable Internship – Hybrid (Germany)

About the role

You will join BASF's Global Business Services team for a six‑month mandatory internship, supporting the Accounts Payable & Freight Cost Management unit. The role offers hands‑on experience with e‑invoicing initiatives and classic accounting tasks while working across various BASF divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Accounts Payable team in processing and verifying supplier invoices.
• Support the implementation of e‑invoicing projects and related initiatives.
• Post invoices, perform account clarifications, and handle routine accounting activities.
• Collaborate with internal units to ensure smooth invoice handling and gain insight into BASF’s financial processes.

Required profile

• Enrolled university student with proof of a mandatory internship.
• Open‑minded, motivated, and eager to learn about accounts payable in a global corporation.
• Strong command of English for written and verbal communication.
• Interest in technical aspects of finance and comfortable using standard office tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
