Accounts Payable Officer – Hybrid (m/f/d)

About the role

The Accounts Payable & Freight Cost Management department provides professional invoice management services for BASF Group companies across Europe. You will handle core accounting tasks, support automation initiatives, and work closely with operational units to continuously improve the Purchase‑to‑Pay process.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and post invoices, reconcile accounts, and review payment runs.
• Drive automation of SAP posting processes and correct automatically posted invoices when needed.
• Analyze invoice data and ensure accurate posting in the SAP system.
• Collaborate with local finance teams to optimise the end‑to‑end Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) chain.

Required profile

• Completed commercial vocational training or a degree in business administration, economics or a related field.
• Initial experience in invoice verification and accounting.
• Fluent German language skills and good command of English.
• Enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment.
