AI Internship for Functional Avionics

About the role

Join the Functional Architecture and Validation department at Airbus Defence and Space as an AI intern focused on functional avionics. You will work on real satellite projects, supporting the development and testing of AI‑driven use cases. This is a six‑month, full‑time internship starting 1 September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Support the collection, implementation and testing of AI use‑cases for the department.
• Develop ad‑hoc Python solutions that assist Avionics Architects in day‑to‑day project activities.
• Assist in rolling out these solutions across the department and ongoing satellite projects.

Required profile

• Enrolled full‑time student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• Experience programming with Python.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI concepts.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Good teamwork, communication and the ability to work independently.
