AI Speech & Audio Specialist – ASR, TTS & Voice AI (Freelance)

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the quality of voices generated by TTS systems: naturalness, pronunciation, intonation, emotion and overall consistency.
• Analyze ASR transcriptions to identify recognition errors, accent issues and linguistic nuances.
• Perform professional audio editing operations (segmentation, cutting, noise reduction, silence adjustment, clarity enhancement).
• Use waveform and spectrogram analysis tools to detect and correct sound‑quality defects.
• Contribute to the creation, validation and enrichment of vocal datasets for training and evaluating AI models.
• Collaborate with research, data science and product teams to provide precise, actionable feedback.
• Write detailed performance reports and propose improvement directions.

Required Profile

• Proven expertise in audio production, sound engineering, applied linguistics or vocal technologies.
• Proficiency with audio editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, etc.) and spectral analysis tools.
• Deep understanding of ASR and TTS concepts and evaluation metrics (WER, MOS, etc.).
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, able to discern subtle pronunciation and emotional cues.
• Experience working freelance or within distributed international communities.
• Self‑driven, rigorous and comfortable in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
