Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic (Full‑time)

About the role

FAI Technik GmbH, part of the FAI Aviation Group, is expanding its maintenance team at Nuremberg Albrecht Dürer Airport. The company seeks a full‑time Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic to perform both routine and complex sheet‑metal tasks on Bombardier and Hawker‑Beechcraft business jets.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and non‑routine sheet‑metal work in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Manufacture, fit and install metal components, ensuring precise alignment and structural integrity.
• Identify structural damages, plan and execute required repairs.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to resolve complex repair challenges.
• Document all performed tasks meticulously and ensure compliance with EASA Part‑145 regulations.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic with a focus on production engineering (Sheet Metal) or an equivalent metal‑working qualification.
• Valid EU passport and willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and abroad.
• Excellent spoken and written English; German language skills are a plus.
• Good physical condition, able to work at heights up to 8 m and in confined spaces.
• Independent, reliable, structured work style with a high sense of quality.
• Valid driver’s licence (automatic and manual transmission).
