Algorithms and Simulation Development Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Algorithms and Simulation Development Engineer to join the DeckFinder team in the Munich area. You will be responsible for designing simulations and refining positioning algorithms that power our market‑leading unmanned systems, reporting directly to the Chief Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and simulate positioning algorithms for the DeckFinder system.
• Implement software requirements and integrate new or improved algorithms into existing products.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and perform integration activities on target hardware.
• Validate and verify software from unit testing through flight testing, producing test reports for release, qualification and certification.
• Contribute to release planning and overall verification & validation strategy.

Required profile

• Passion for unmanned systems, autonomy and high‑precision algorithmic solutions.
• Experience in software development and algorithm implementation.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross‑functional team and communicate with engineering leadership.
