Android Engineer – Mobile App Development

About the role

Join Scalable Capital’s fast‑growing engineering team to build and enhance the Android experience for millions of European investors. You will work closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to turn complex financial concepts into intuitive mobile features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain user‑facing features for the Scalable Capital Android app.
• Take ownership of specific app modules and see them through the full development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, secure user experiences.
• Experiment with modern Android technologies and best practices under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Write clean, testable, well‑documented code and contribute to code‑review processes.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences or a comparable qualification.
• Hands‑on Android development experience gained through internships, working‑student roles or personal projects.
• Basic familiarity with Kotlin, Coroutines, RxJava, Jetpack Compose, Dagger and GraphQL APIs, with a strong desire to deepen that knowledge.
• Analytical mindset, good communication skills and fluency in English (German a plus).
