Application Scientist, Savoury & Pet Food

About the role

In close cooperation with R&D and Sales, you will develop new product concepts for savoury and pet food, act as a technical partner for customers and provide essential support to the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop application formulations in the lab and optimise related processes for customer projects.
• Provide product recommendations based on Sensient’s colour portfolio for savoury and pet food applications.
• Support sales and marketing with presentations, product launches, application trials, prototyping and photography.
• Conduct technical seminars, trainings and present innovative colour concepts.
• Represent Sensient Food Colors at fairs and exhibitions.
• Participate in national and international project teams.

Required profile

• University degree in chemistry, food technology or a related field.
• Professional R&D experience with a strong understanding of development, production and application of food ingredients.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer contacts.

Required skills

• Very good knowledge of MS Office.
• Experience with a computerized inventory management program (beneficial).
