Area Manager – Germany

About the role

The Area Manager for Germany will lead the commercial performance of Maje’s stores across the country. Reporting to the North of Europe Zone Director, you will shape and execute the brand’s strategy, ensuring legal compliance and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will act as the bridge between the stores and headquarters, ensuring that stock, visual standards and promotional initiatives are consistently applied.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the commercial strategy for all German points of sale.
• Monitor sales KPIs, define action plans and drive profitability.
• Ensure compliance with legal and mandatory requirements for each store.
• Collaborate with Store Managers on team organisation, training and daily operations.
• Oversee stock, transfers, visual merchandising and the execution of commercial actions.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and development of Store Managers.
• Supervise store opening and closing processes to guarantee smooth operations.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience with a passion for motivating and training teams.
• Strong commercial mindset with a focus on sales growth and profitability.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple departments.
• Understanding of retail compliance and operational standards.
• You are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment and have a solid understanding of the fashion retail sector.
