Art Teacher (K-12)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join our school community. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging visual‑arts instruction for K‑12 students, fostering creativity and meeting curriculum standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and organize long‑range lesson plans and daily class work to ensure in‑depth learning within allotted timeframes.
• Select, adapt, or modify teaching methods and materials that best support the assigned grade levels and subject matter.
• Support, counsel, and motivate students to meet or exceed grade‑level standards.
• Adhere to and implement safety and security procedures.
• Develop lesson plans independently within approved curriculum frameworks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the School Principal.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and proof thereof.
• Valid, unencumbered state teaching license in the relevant content area, or equivalent qualifications (Praxis I & II or seven years of PreK‑12 teaching experience).
• Ability to complete a Tier 1 background investigation with Childcare Checks.
• Willingness to complete a two‑year trial period and meet direct‑deposit payroll requirements.
• Compliance with DoD civilian personnel regulations for overseas assignments, if applicable.

• Ability to design curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
• Effective classroom management and student motivation techniques.
