Assembly/Repair Technician – Set‑up & Manual Solderer

About the role

We are looking for an Assembly/Repair Technician to join our defence‑focused production site in Bremen. The role combines set‑up of SMT assembly lines with hands‑on manual soldering of printed circuit boards, ensuring high‑quality electronic sub‑assemblies for critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical sub‑assemblies according to drawings, BOMs and work instructions.
• Commission and test devices at system level, perform interface tests and document results.
• Set up, operate and re‑tool SMT assembly systems and stencil printers independently.
• Monitor vapour‑phase soldering processes to guarantee optimal solder joints.
• Conduct visual quality checks in line with IPC Class 3 standards and carry out corrective actions.
• Perform manual hand‑assembly, THT and SMD soldering, rework and repair of sensitive electronic modules.
• Maintain and clean production equipment on a regular basis.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or a comparable field.
• Professional experience in electronic assembly and soldering.
• Basic English skills and good German language proficiency.
• Familiarity with MS Office and SAP.
• High precision, quality awareness and ability to work well in a team.
