Assistant or Full Professor of Applied Econometrics

About the role

Zeppelin University seeks an Assistant Professor (tenure‑track) or Full Professor in Applied Econometrics within its Department of Business Administration and Economics. The successful candidate will lead research and teaching activities across the full spectrum of applied econometrics, contributing to the university’s interdisciplinary and international mission.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality research in applied econometrics and publish in international, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Secure external research funding and develop an international research network.
• Design and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in English, including project‑based, small‑group formats.
• Supervise bachelor, master and PhD students and contribute to curriculum development.
• Participate in university self‑government and collaborate with existing research clusters (e.g., computational social science, cultural policy).

Required profile

• Strong international research record with publications in reputable journals.
• For assistant‑professor applicants: evidence of the ability to build a broad research agenda and potential to pass a junior‑professor evaluation.
• For full‑professor applicants: demonstrated broad expertise and capacity to engage with emerging academic fields.
• Excellent teaching skills and a commitment to interdisciplinary education.
• Willingness to teach in English and contribute to university governance.
