Associate FICC Product Controller – Frankfurt

About the role

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Associate FICC Product Controller to join its Frankfurt Product Control team. In this role you will become an expert on the firm’s Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) trading activities, ensuring accurate valuation, profit and loss attribution, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly profit and loss analyses for the trading business.
• Execute ongoing price verification procedures to confirm appropriate valuation of firm inventory.
• Assess new trades for correct valuation, accounting treatment and disclosure in financial statements.
• Develop proficiency in capital requirement calculations impacting the trading business.
• Analyze and report on the balance sheet and funding sources of the trading business.
• Produce financial statements and relevant disclosures for the trading business.
• Collaborate with the financial reporting team to prepare external reports such as earnings releases and 10Q/10K filings.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
• Basic industry knowledge and strong accounting fundamentals.
