Associate – FIG Coverage – DACH & Nordics

About the role

Join Santander Corporate & Investment Banking as an Associate covering the Financial Institutions Group for the DACH and Nordics region. You will work from Frankfurt, supporting a portfolio of banks and financial institutions while coordinating multi‑product transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Managing day‑to‑day client coverage across a portfolio of financial institutions.
• Coordinating complex cross‑product transactions and internal workstreams involving Coverage, Financing, Markets, Transaction Banking, Advisory and Risk.
• Preparing client presentations, credit papers, financial analyses and strategic reviews independently.
• Supporting senior client interactions, including meetings with C‑suite executives.
• Acting as a trusted partner to product teams and driving execution across multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions.
• Owning internal processes such as credit, profitability, risk management, KYC and onboarding.
• Contributing to business development, client planning and revenue generation initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in Financial Institutions Group coverage, corporate banking, debt capital markets, structured finance or related institutional banking disciplines.
• Proven experience covering financial institutions, executing transactions and providing strategic advisory.
• Ability to manage workstreams independently and interact with senior client representatives.
• Fluent in German (spoken and written) and English; Spanish optional.
