Associate Frontend Engineer

About the role

Alpine Business Consulting is looking for an Associate Frontend Engineer to help build the user‑facing part of internal reporting tools for a finance partner in Hamburg. The role is fully remote and entry‑level, offering the chance to work with senior consultants on enterprise‑grade dashboards that present accurate, up‑to‑date data.

Key responsibilities

• Translate design mockups into functional, responsive user interfaces using modern web technologies.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and other reporting components for enterprise finance users.
• Test code across different browsers and screen sizes to ensure reliability.
• Fix visual bugs and performance issues identified during testing.
• Collaborate with the Hamburg‑based partner to gather user requirements.
• Write clear technical documentation and configuration guides for each feature.
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of web development fundamentals and eagerness to learn in a professional environment.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting and communicate effectively through digital channels.
• Attention to detail for documentation and hand‑over processes.

Required skills

• Web development using modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Responsive design and cross‑browser testing.
• Basic version‑control usage (e.g., Git).
