Associate Legal Counsel – Cloud Services (Germany)

About the role

Amazon's Legal Department is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to support Amazon Web Services (AWS) sales across the EMEA region, with a primary focus on Germany. The role combines technology law expertise with hands‑on involvement in complex cloud‑service transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and advise on strategic technology service agreements with enterprise customers and partners.
• Provide legal counsel on product development, security, compliance, data‑protection and public‑policy matters.
• Interpret regulations and guide senior executives on cross‑border cloud offerings.
• Manage legal issues arising from existing relationships and respond to customer and partner inquiries.
• Coordinate multi‑country deal structures with EMEA legal teams.
• Lead AI‑driven improvements to contract review and legal research processes.

Required profile

• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with strong technology awareness.
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
• Experience in technology or cloud‑service law, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as needed.
